Concept Aims: An
Installation inspiring Consciousness and Responsibility
•We
propose that the installation inspires consciousness & responsibility for
the visitor, raising awareness to their place in the world.
•The
surface are of the world is 150,000,000 sqkm, and 6.75 billion
People, that gives a citizens earth share of 2.19 hectares per global citizen
The Surface Area of Germany is 357,021 square kilometre, and is a current population of 82,060,000 people. This is 0.435 hectare per German citizen.

Our Proposal
•The
installation which takes this data, and make it into a physical
representation.
•GERMANY:
The Citizens share can be represented in a circle of 74.43m diameter (area
of 0.435 hectares)
•THE
WORLD: A Global Citizens share can be represented in a circle of 167.18 m
diameter (area of 2.19 hectares)
The Installation
•The
proposal is a series of representational “discs” placed at the entrance to the Schloss Fasanerie in the Paradehof.
•These
“discs” would be designed and represent proportional usage of the total
surface area of the country, and would poetically and graphically represent, the land usage
of Germany, thus creating a physical manifestation of factual information,
and also highlighting the responsibility towards the land that is our
"share".
