AZHAR
ARCHITECTURE was invited to produce a sustainable masterplan for a
prestigious site (next to Tiger Woods
Dubai) as part of the Dubailand development. The masterplanning strategies include:
- Wind avenues
- central spine
- communities arranged around community
facilities
- neighbourhood around greens
The masterplan was tested by CFD analysis, by
ZEF environmental engineers.
The geometry is inspired by harmonious and
complex Islamic patterns.
As well as
being a sustainable development at an environmental level, the
project aims high levels of social and economic sustainability.
